The Mighty Hand of Israel... The Mighty Hand of Israel can strike terror into the very hearts & minds The Mighty Hand of Israel makes people tremble with fear The Mighty Hand of Israel stretches far...very far.... ...so far that is would appear that the Mighty Hand of Israel has the people of Bradford trembling in their shoes. The Mighty Hand of Israel has such a hold on the people of Bradford that they cannot even walk to their nearest shop and ask the owner to boycott Israeli produce (dates in particular). The Might of Israel is so great that the people of Bradford have turned their backs on the people of Palestine. Has the time come so soon for us to roll over and play dead? Not everyone can visit Palestine and stand up in front of a military bulldozer that is threatening to destroy the homes of Palestinians. Not everyone can stand between live bullets and Palestinian children Not everyone can stand in fields of burning olive trees whilst surrounded by blood thirsty soldiers Not everyone can face the terror of the pirates of the high seas But you should understand that without someone there is no 'everyone'! Are you someone who can help the Palestinians or are you one of the millions of no-ones who choose to bury their heads in the sands of ignorance? When we work together, anyone can become everyone: everyone is made up of you & me! If you cannot stand in front of tanks, bulldozers, fighter jets and helicopter gunships then you can at least stand in front of your local shopkeepers and ask them if they are going to sell Israeli dates during Ramadan. Tell them how Israeli dates are 'blood dates'; they are ripened with the blood and tears of the Palestinians. This is NOT the time to lay down and play dead – it is the time to stand up and be counted! Please come to the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) meeting on Tuesday 3rdAugust at 6.30pm, Desmond Tutu House, 2 Ashgrove (BD7, opposite University of Bradford). If you can't attend: visit your local shop/market a and email us to let us know whether they are selling Israeli dates or not. Don't open your fast with blood dates ![]() |
